Wills Eye Hospitals Vitreoretinal Disease Update

Letter from the Director of Continuing Medical Education:

Your CME experience at Wills will be even better this year, thanks to recent upgrades of A-V equipment in the Simmonds auditorium. A new screen and digital projector have been installed thanks to an educational grant from NEC corporation. The state of the art NEC GT5000 projector provides a much brighter (6000 ansi lumens) image that enhances digital presentations, which have nearly totally replaced slides. The quality, expertise and dedication of our faculty remains the same, as ever.

Our Saturday morning updates remain free and refreshments are provided. If you park on the roof of the Walnut Towers Garage you can enter the hospital directly on the 7th floor. The auditorium and library are one flight up on eight. Stamp your ticket in the 7th floor parking lobby for discounted parking.

Exciting developments this year include a downtown venue and new format for the Wills Eye Hospital Annual Conference that will focus on practical information for the busy practitioner.

We continue to offer CME credits for Grand Rounds on most Fridays at 7 am. The format remains the same: unknown case presentations with audience participation capped by short talks that stress important clinical points. Early risers are urged to attend. Its definitely my favorite conference.

The Wills Annual Ophthalmology Review Course remains the largest and most popular in the United States. Practitioners who desire an intense, comprehensive update of Ophthalmology and need CME credits for licensure should consider taking the course. They can earn 45 credits in 5 days.

We look forward to seeing you at Wills.

Ralph C. Eagle, Jr., MD

I thank Wills Eye Hospital for cooperation.
