27th
Annual Current Concepts in Ophthalmology
Course
Description
This
course will focus on clinical, medical and administrative issues
important to the evolving practice of ophthalmology, with a specific
concentration on the most advanced medical and surgical treatment
options within the various specialties. Expert and world-renowned
faculty will present the latest developments in the management of
ocular conditions and practice operations through a combination of
didactic and hands-on sessions at each of the courses.
This year's practice management sessions in Puerto Rico and Vail
will highlight financial planning management for today's busy
ophthalmologist. Course emphasis will be on such topics as financial
benchmarking, managing monthly financial reports and practice
budgeting. We will once again have an industry expert deliver a
"state-of-the-business" legal and regulatory report. And,
as always, the individual practice management consultants will be
available to meet with the physician attendees on a one-on-one or
group basis at any time during the meeting.
Objectives
Upon completion of this
program, the participant should be able to -
- summarize, assess,
analyze and evaluate the latest developments for management of
various ocular conditions within the various ophthalmology
specialties
- diagnose and treat
patients utilizing techniques and theories validated by the
course
- integrate
prescribed medical and surgical treatment options into their
everyday practices
- apply financial
and practice management tools to assist the ophthalmologists in
making more sound economic and operational decisions with their
practice.
