Workshop: Translating critical appraisal of a manuscript into meaningful peer review

Audience: Ophthalmologists - 25 maximum. This 3-hour workshop guides participants through the peer review process and teaches the principles and techniques of critical appraisal. The workshop is designed specifically for eye care professionals, with an emphasis on issues directly related to visual impairment and diseases of the eye. The workshop will help participants develop a framework to assess manuscripts in those areas of practice and to provide useful feedback to authors and editors. Participants will participate in hands-on practice of the methods presented by faculty. Approved for AMA PRA credit.
