Description: Central serous retinopathy (CSR) is a relatively common retinal disorder that is characterized by clear or transparent (serous) fluid that accumulates under the retina in a circumscribed area, usually in the central area of the retina known as the macula (Country Hills Eye Center, Central Serous Retinopathy). 

Description: Central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR) is a disease in which a serous detachment of the neurosensory retina occurs over an area of leakage from the choriocapillaris through the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) (eMedicine, Chorioretinopathy, Central Serous).
